After the blizzard this is what I saw out my front window
Ridge of drift in front of school
Grader clearing after storm
Note the height of the ridge of snow behind the stop sign
Drifting snow after storm almost as high as some of thhoses.
Doing a walk after being cooped up inside during the blizzard I was glad to be out as I am certain were these boys I met at school playground,
These Inuit boys were aged 7 -11 years as most children did not object to having their photo taken and we exchanged names.
Of course mine is written on my hat "Bonnie in Nunavut"
Welcome to Repulse Bay is the message of this cairn.
Height of snow drift against house
Snow ridges and street clearing
after blizzard Health center
is covered with a slight layer of snow.Catholic church is shown here with unique curved stone entrances.

About me...
An Albertan & Canadian, definitely a northern gal. Social worker by profession, this blog has included some of my work over 10 years in Nunavut from 2002 on. Passionate about slowing down & taking time to appreciate the beauty of the outdoors or kindness in relationships as gifts & blessings; injustices against children in situations beyond their control; my faith; Nature, experiencing the outdoors whether cycling, walking. x-c skiing or gardening, my dogs, capturing on film God's beauty, experiencing life intensely & with the senses, richness of late afternoon light, wind in my hair cycling with my dog on a beach road, couching inches from an arctic flower or alpine lichen to capture it with my camera, insight of a student's new learning, a good conversation over a coffee.
