  • Northern bloggers and frequent readers...

My readership is not high but take some time when you stop by and leave a comment....the dialogue is also what blogging is about. You don't have to be a xangian to do so as!

In the north regular viewing from Kugaaruk (  thanks for stopping Lindsay ) Arviat, Arctic Bay ( well Clare and Darcy probably over connected through facebook ) Iqaluit, Cape Dorset, Yellowknife, Rankin ( Hi to Cindy ) Whitehorse ( Brooke I think ) and Ancorage Alaska and odd stop bys from my recent work stop as Kimmirut and Gjoa Haven. Edmonton, Sherwood Park, Vancouver and California well those are mostly family and freinds but Duncan BC, Peterborough On, Montreal PQ and North Carolina ( Hi to Katie T. ) and of course the bots from Washington DC ( beware of all the northern info security risks I am posting ) and odd hits from UK, Africa, Australia and Hong Kong.

Wishing you all a happy day, safe travels as back to school or north and enjoy some of the lingering summer!

  • I love reading about everyday life in out of the way places, and that is the reason I like your blog.

  • Thanks for the hello - I agree, the comments are a great part of blogging, and it's nice to hear from everyone reading!

About me...

An Albertan & Canadian, definitely a northern gal. Social worker by profession, this blog has included some of my work over 10 years in Nunavut from 2002 on. Passionate about slowing down & taking time to appreciate the beauty of the outdoors or kindness in relationships as gifts & blessings; injustices against children in situations beyond their control; my faith; Nature, experiencing the outdoors whether cycling, walking. x-c skiing or gardening, my dogs, capturing on film God's beauty, experiencing life intensely & with the senses, richness of late afternoon light, wind in my hair cycling with my dog on a beach road, couching inches from an arctic flower or alpine lichen to capture it with my camera, insight of a student's new learning, a good conversation over a coffee.
