Walking up the hill tonight to the B&B where I use the internet, stopped at one spot on the side of the hill and away from the lights and just marvelled at the clear sky constellations of Big Dipper, Orion and Casieopia the queen.
Here are some of the interior shots of the dining room
and guest rooms
and cathedral ceilings.
Ended up visitng and chatting with one of the guests who was up at Arctic College. We also had a chance this afternoon to sit in on an Inuktitut class at the school and had a short pwer outage about 10 PM to allow for the repair of the water treatment plant. For the last few days we have been needing to conserve water as less frequent delivery. Had to revert to older methods of digging in a whole in the ice to get supplies for the trucks.

About me...
An Albertan & Canadian, definitely a northern gal. Social worker by profession, this blog has included some of my work over 10 years in Nunavut from 2002 on. Passionate about slowing down & taking time to appreciate the beauty of the outdoors or kindness in relationships as gifts & blessings; injustices against children in situations beyond their control; my faith; Nature, experiencing the outdoors whether cycling, walking. x-c skiing or gardening, my dogs, capturing on film God's beauty, experiencing life intensely & with the senses, richness of late afternoon light, wind in my hair cycling with my dog on a beach road, couching inches from an arctic flower or alpine lichen to capture it with my camera, insight of a student's new learning, a good conversation over a coffee.
