  • Just a few dog shots....

for my readers who are canine fans….this pup was one in town hiding underneath the edge of a house ….sometimes if I have left over food scraps will feed them. Then of course walks with Koda whose curious nose is everywhere Affectionately licking my toes swimming in local lake which was lovely to cool off but challenging with a 60 lb goofy lab who thinks you are a playmate.

  • That puppy is adorable! Does s/he have a home?

I think all labs are the same - totally goofy!

  • @DeliaD - Hey Delia I knew I would hear from you! It's hard to tell if the pup has a home but with a collar I presume so. You know what it is like in northern towns some dogs cared for and others not, just tied up outside the house and puppies are always cute.

Yea I quite adore this lab but he can also be strong in pulling his leash...better if I can get out of town for a run.

    Hope your canines are well!

  • Yeah, I noticed the collar too, so I didn't know if he was homeless or not. I live in the city and forget that it's not totally unusual to have free roaming dogs in the country or rural areas.

My Golden Retriever pulls on the leash like mad. And she's 9! Still waiting for her to mellow.... :)

About me...

An Albertan & Canadian, definitely a northern gal. Social worker by profession, this blog has included some of my work over 10 years in Nunavut from 2002 on. Passionate about slowing down & taking time to appreciate the beauty of the outdoors or kindness in relationships as gifts & blessings; injustices against children in situations beyond their control; my faith; Nature, experiencing the outdoors whether cycling, walking. x-c skiing or gardening, my dogs, capturing on film God's beauty, experiencing life intensely & with the senses, richness of late afternoon light, wind in my hair cycling with my dog on a beach road, couching inches from an arctic flower or alpine lichen to capture it with my camera, insight of a student's new learning, a good conversation over a coffee.
